FAQs

Question

For your information,

Answer

Our venue is outside! Weather permitting, we will be outside all day. The area is well-shaded. The reception will take place under a party tent, so if the Lord blesses us with a surprise shower, we will be protected!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered through Zola, Target, and Crate & Barrel. We also have a few cash funds you are more than welcome to contribute to! You can easily find our registries on this website by navigating to the “Registry” tab!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

On the invitation, we will inform you how many seats we have reserved in your honor. If you only have one seat reserved, it’s a sign you definitely will know many others at our wedding, so no need to worry!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, but also no! If we could put a name to it, we would say garden party casual. We don’t want anyone showing up in jeans, but also no black-tie-event-worthy-gowns! We highly encourage bright, summery colors! Also, ladies, heels will not be your friend at our venue, since it is outside!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We would love to have your children join us! On your invitation, we will be sure to include how many seats are reserved in your honor and your children’s honor.

Question

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

Because of the location of our venue, there is not space for parking. Please review the "Transportation" tab on this website for more information!

Question

I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?

Answer

We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day! Please let us know when you RSVP about your dietary needs. You may reach out directly to either Noah or Jessalyn, or their parents.

Question

I'm traveling from out of state. Are you covering hotel room fees?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are, as they say, "ballin’ on a budget," so we aren't able to assist in that way. Please contact us directly if you have any further concerns about this!

Question

What do you mean by "Refreshment Hour"?

Answer

This is the time between the ceremony and the reception in which the bridal party, family, and bride & groom will be taking photos, so light refreshments will be provided. There will be places to you can sit around the property if you would like to chill out before the reception. There is also an entire lake guests can enjoy! There is a put-in beach behind the house, and the Swaim family has some canoes and kayaks you can take out, or you can just swim! However, PLEASE be safe on the water and keep both eyes on your kiddos, since there will be NO lifeguard supervision! We don’t want any emergencies on this special day!!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Because we will be providing transportation from a local parking lot, please plan to arrive between 2:00pm and 2:45pm. This will give us plenty of time to transport you to the venue and for you to find a seat. Please check out the "Transportation" tab on this website for more information!

Question

What time will the ceremony begin?

Answer

We will begin the wedding procession at 3:00pm, August 17, 2024.

Question

What if I arrive late?!

Answer

We completely understand that traffic flares up at the worst of times! Some solutions we can think of are walking (it is a 20 minute walk from the nearest parking area to the Lake House), or ordering a Lyft or Uber (these are around $12). If you do arrive late, we respectfully ask that you draw very little attention to yourself if entering during the ceremony, out of respect for the bride and groom, and for everyone else in attendance! Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

When will the reception end?

Answer

The bride and groom will be leaving for their honeymoon at 8:30pm. We will arrange for transportation for guests to head back to the parking area around 8:45pm. If you have little ones who need to get to sleep earlier than this, we understand! Please make Jessalyn or Noah aware of this so they can coordinate with you.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, since we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to take & post lots of pictures using our wedding hashtag #jessalyn&noah so we can see them, too!

Question

What about bathrooms?

Answer

So glad you asked! Because of the nature of the area's plumbing, we are renting a Porta-Potty for guests to utilize. In an emergency, you may use the bathroom in the main house, or guest house. Please only go into the houses if you urgently need to use the facilities!

Question

Help! I don’t know if I can RSVP before June 29th!

Answer

We’ve got you covered. If you are unsure of your schedule and need more time to plan your itinerary, the very last cutoff RSVP date we can offer is July 20th.

Question

I have a question that I just can’t find the answer to, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

Please feel free to text Noah or Jessalyn, at (781) 333-7617 and (724) 992-9731, respectively. Make sure you put your name somewhere in there, so we know who's asking!
