We're getting married!

A mutual friend had us both going out with her on St. Pats in 2018. We agreed to all meet at his house that morning, so I walked in, and he immediately asked if I did shots. I told him no and he shrugged and said, "more for me." We went out and had a blast, then at one point in the evening Josh ended up getting really trashed and was falling asleep in my back seat so I made him drink some of my energy drink that I had left over from that morning. Apparently, it was "poisoned", and I ended up needing to take him home. The next day I found him on Facebook so I could ask if he was okay, and we haven't stopped talking since!

The day before Valentines Day 2021, I was sitting on the couch eating dinner. Josh got home and he went into the bedroom which I figured was probably to change out of his work clothes. After a few minutes I heard him on the phone. I assumed he was probably talking to his mom letting her know he would be walking the dogs soon. Then he came up to me and took my food out of my lap and with a dead serious face he told me "We need to talk about us." Now anyone with anxiety immediately knows that's not a good sign, so I am instantly panicking. So, he said that he was tired of calling me his girlfriend, and he proceeded to get down on one knee and said, "I want to call you my wife." Turns out he was actually supposed to propose to me on Valentines Day since we were going to a nice dinner. Apparently, he couldn't wait any longer and had called my friend who knew about it (and made sure my nails looked good for it) and told her he was doing it right then and there. To this day I am not sure what I was crying for more; him making me think I was being broken up with or the fact he proposed!
