We grew up in neighboring counties and attended high schools 30 minutes away from each other. Looking back, our paths crossed many times during high school (during a banquet for seniors from the Knoxville area, we actually stood mere feet from each other without ever meeting). After high school, we both attended East Tennessee State University for undergraduate studies, where we ran in similar circles. However, we never had the opportunity to formally meet until junior year when Jessa joined Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity which Grayson was already part of. We eventually started speaking more (fun fact, the first message we ever exchanged was of Grayson sending a picture to Jessa of a cheese pizza) and learned that we really enjoyed being around each other. We started officially dating November 18, 2018, and got engaged exactly two years later. It is fitting that we are also getting married in November!
