We were introduced by Robby's sister Ryann! Ryann had recently moved to SoFla with her family. Robby was coming to visit for his birthday. Ryann mentioned to Jess that he was newly single and lived in Atlanta, but that she wanted them to meet. She hosted a beach birthday picnic and invited Jess. "And the rest... is the future"

Jess' sister Jax planned an amazing surprise 40th birthday party in Delray Beach where her parents, Robby's parents and a lot of Jess's closest friends were in attendance. When Robby found out where the party was and how the venue had a ping pong table, he began to plan his move. He cut into a ping pong ball and placed the beautiful ring inside the ball. He patiently waited while Jess and her dad played ping pong as they have been doing since she was in high school. Ping Pong had also become a family tradition when Robby and Nelson (Jess' brother-in-law) have been included on family trips. When the ball finally hit the net and fell, Robby dropped down to get it for Jess and made the old "switcheroo" with the ring-filled ball in his pocket. He knelt on his knee to ask her to marry him and be with him forever. Yes, she said yes!
