Question

How do I get to Cohasset?

Answer

Rental car: There are various services at Boston Logan Airport to rent a car for the weekend. Cohasset is a 40-minute drive from the airport. Estimated rates cost around $50 to $80 per day. Train: Taking the Silver Line or Uber from the airport to South Station. The Greenbush Line is a 40-minute train that will take you straight to Cohasset or North Scituate. Pick-ups from the train can be coordinated with other guests that have cars. The silver line is free and tickets for the greenbush line cost around $12. https://www.mbta.com/schedules/CR-Greenbush/timetable Ferry: The Hingham/Hull ferry is another fun option to get to Cohasset. The ferry leaves directly from the airport and can take you to Hull (15-minutes from Cohasset) or Hingham (20-minutes from Cohasset). An uber or coordinated pick-up can get you the rest of the way. Ferry rates are around $10. https://www.mbta.com/schedules/Boat-F1/line

September weather in the Boston area can range from mid-60s to low-50s throughout the day with a bit of a breeze. We would recommend checking the weather the week before you travel just in case!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

While the official wedding ceremony start time is 4:00 PM, we encourage guests to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to get settled before the proceedings. Doors to the church will open around 3:30 PM to accommodate early arrivals.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We are excited to have an amazing photographer to cover our wedding. That said, we will kindly ask you to turn off your ringers and refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, but anything else is fair game! We will make sure to share all the special moments our photographer captured with you.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Expectations for the dress code are detailed in our Schedule page. We encourage guests to review this information to get a better idea of what to pack for the weekend.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All events will take place indoors along with an open patio at the reception. A light jacket or shawl is recommended for later in the evening as temperatures drop.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

A trolley will be leaving the Scituate Inn at 3:15 pm for all guests who do not want to drive. This trolley will also be available to transport guests from the ceremony to the reception; however, it will not be available after the reception. There is ample parking spots at the ceremony venue and reception. For the reception, please follow the road past the Sailing Club and up the hill to the Lightkeepers. All spots in the back are available for guest use.
