Jess and Ari met the way many modern love stories begin: on Hinge, bonding instantly over their shared obsession with their dogs (Fidel and Jackie) – who looked suspiciously alike. What started as an easy conversation quickly turned into something more. From the beginning, being together felt easy. And over the past four years, they’ve built a relationship grounded in grace, companionship, and acceptance, supporting each other through career changes, life’s losses, and everything in between. At home in Richmond, they’ve created a life that values both togetherness and independence. Jess can often be found in the studio, immersed in her ceramics practice, while Ari is usually fixing motorcycles, playing music, or working on whatever handy project has caught his attention. Somehow, it all balances perfectly. Time together is spent with family, being outdoors, watching their favorite reality TV shows, or laughing over a made up song about one of their pets.
