Do I need a passport to go to Mexico?

Answer

Yes. All guests must have a valid passport to travel to Cancun. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after your travel dates. For a June 2026 trip, it should be valid through December 2026.

I don’t have a passport yet. When should I apply?

Answer

Apply ASAP. Routine passport processing can take 6–8 weeks, sometimes longer. Do not wait.

Can I travel with a passport card instead of a passport book?

Answer

No. The passport card cannot be used for international flights. You must have a passport book.

When should I book flights?

Answer

Start checking prices around March-April. Prices often rise the closer you get to summer. Use the wedding schedule to help plan your arrival!

How early do I get to the airport?

Answer

When you are flying to Mexico from your hometown, you must arrive 2 hours early to the airport. HOWEVER, when you are flying BACK to the US, you must be at Cancun International Airport 3 HOURS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. Please note that the airport is 45 mins away from the resort. Please Plan Accordingly!

Do I need transportation from the airport to the resort?

Planet Hollywood is about 30–45 minutes from the airport.

Check-in is typically around 3pm, but it varies. You can enjoy the resort while waiting if your flight arrives earlier than 3PM

Yes! All food, drinks, on-site entertainment, room service, and most amenities are included.

No. Stick to bottled or filtered water, which the resort provides everywhere. Yes it is safe to shower and swim, just do not consume it.
