As soon as we got engaged, we knew we wanted to host a huge wedding to celebrate our marriage with all of our family and friends. We wanted great food, lots of dancing, and an opportunity to see all of our loved ones in one place! When the pandemic first shut everything down, we held out hope that we would be able to celebrate our wedding as planned. However, as the shut down dragged on, we realized our big celebration wouldn't be able to happen in 2020 so we postponed everything to late 2021. As summer continued, we decided to have a tiny ceremony with only our immediate family in beautiful Napa Valley. It wasn't anything like we had originally planned, but the circumstances made us even more grateful for the beautiful day we were able to have and the family we were able to share it with. Not only were we lucky enough not to let COVID interfere with our day, but we also were very lucky to get married on one of the few days last fall that wasn't impacted by the horrible wildfires raging across California. Seriously - we had to evacuate our hotel the day after our wedding because a new set of fires had sparked just down the road! As 2020 has turned into 2021 and so much uncertainty remains, we've made the difficult decision not to try to host our reception in 2021. We sincerely hope to see every one of you as soon as possible, and we look forward to the time we can gather for large joyous celebrations once again. Wishing you all health and happiness in these unprecedented times. Love, Matt & Jesenia
