Jes’ family had just traded in dial-up for “high-speed internet” and updating her instant messenger name was the most exciting part of the day. She found David’s username through a mutual friend and sent a friend request, not expecting to get a response…who accepts friend requests from people they don’t actually know?! Apparently David does. And on Super Bowl Sunday, 2005, David started the conversation with “Do I know you?” Although the answer was “No,” a friendship started that day. 3 months later, Jes & David accidentally met in-person at an event. (He was the DJ, she had come with friends) For the last 17 years, Jes & David have called each other “best friend.” A lot of life has happened since those IM days, and they were there for each other through it all.

Through the years, Jes & David always tried to spend Superbowl Sunday together in celebration of the day they met. This year, David added to the celebration by proposing.

After the wedding, Jes and David will move into the home-on-wheels with big plans of saving to build in the future. They already have so many renovation ideas to make the cozy space feel like home! Top of the list? Jes: a cute couch, David: a septic system.
