It sounds cliché, but Jerry and I met our senior year of high school. My family and I had just moved to this small Oklahoma town and I was, to be extremely honest, over it and had no intentions of building relationships or doing anything other than getting a job to get by and graduating. Jerry, like he often does, had other plans. I was on my way out of the school building when I heard a guys voice behind me saying hello. I turned and he introduced himself as Jerry, which already hit me as a lie because here he was tall dark and clearly Hispanic telling me his name is Jerry. I thought it was a tease from the start. After exchanging greetings, he asked for my number and as he will gloat to anyone who asks, I gave it to him without hesitating. (We both have our different stories of how we remember this). After that day, we were inseparable if you ask our families or close friends. We both moved up to the Oklahoma City area, him to pursue his barber career and I started college in Norman to pursue my nursing career and we were each others rocks though all the tough times and struggles. We have grown up together and we are so excited to be tying the knot in front of God and all of our friends and families. Lets go get married!
