When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 11/05/2022 The date to RSVP for the reception dinner has now passed, thank you to those who replied and indicated your meal option in time for us to make the necessary accommodations for the dinner portion of the evening. For those that missed that deadline. Please note that RSVP for the wedding ceremony & reception party remains open. By RSVPing for these events we can ensure that we have ordered enough seating for the wedding ceremony, Alcohol, etc..

What time do I need arrive?

Answer

There are 4 events happening on my wedding day, first we have the wedding ceremony starting at 4p which lasts about 30-45 mins. Followed by cocktail hour 4:45-6pm, during this time you can enjoy cocktails, photo oops, & mingle. The private reception dinner is next, it starts at 6p, this is the event I asked you to RSVP by 11/5/22 to arrange for the right number of plated dinners. If you missed this deadline, fortunately we have the final event of the evening which is the reception party that will begin promptly after dinner at around 7p and end at 11p. If you are attending the private dinner you will have access to all segments of the wedding day festivities. If not, you may attend the ceremony if you desire & return for party at 7p. In this case you will only miss dinner. Hor d’oeuvres, dessert & the full bar will be open for your enjoyment. If you plan to attend the ceremony, please arrive no later than 3:45pm. Once the ceremony has begun, the doors will be closed to keep this part of the event both sacred & free of interruptions.

What is the Dress Code?

All female wedding guest are expected to wear white or winter neutrals. (Neutrals; winter White, beige, ivory, off white, light grey, nude, camel, ochre, sand, mica, silver & gold, etc) Yes, we know, this isn’t very traditional. Neither are we. The bride won’t be offended, in fact, she insists.. Formal Wear, dress to Impress Dahlin. Ladies wear gowns, or formal cocktail dresses. * Ladies, keep in mind that you are wearing white & many of us will be wearing makeup, air kisses and church hugs are highly recommended 😊 ** Ladies, this a formal wedding. While I love your personal forms of self expression. I encourage you to really take the time to dress in a manner that is appropriate for a wedding, not too much nudity, please serve black elegance, style & grace. Gentlemen are expected to wear formal suits & tie or tuxedo.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We do not have a wedding registry. We are opting instead for a wishing well, you may gift us in cash and gift cards. We love & appreciate you.

Are you having a bridal shower?

Answer

In lieu of a co-ed bridal shower, I have opted to do something purposeful with my time with you. I would love it for you purchase a ticket a vision board party for which I am one of the guest speakers. If you know me, you know that I love a good goal getter like myself. Are children welcome?

Answer

Childcare is available during the ceremony & the reception dinner for a fee of $30 per child. Only the children who are a part of the wedding party will be in attendance at the wedding ceremony. The fee includes: Childcare from 3:30p-7:30p Food; fried chicken, Mac and cheese, Snacks Beverages All activities You can pick your child up for the reception party after 7p. Fri 1/27/23 is the final day to add your child to the registration for childcare services. We are a big family with many, many little ones, I would encourage you all to bring the children for the weekend to participate in all of the other family functions as well.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please refer to the link on this site that outlines recommended accommodations. A block of rooms are being secured at; Drury Inn Northlake at a rate of $114 per night, The Westin Uptown $196 double, $206 single The Grand Bohemian $209. Then of course there are many more options that you are free to explore independently. Le’Meridian is another great option

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is plenty of FREE parking on site

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. However, many hotels offer a shuttle that will take you within 10 miles of your hotel. Uber is an option. Car rental Turo

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We are creating an itinerary full of fun things to do while you are in town for the weekend. You may join in or not, no pressure, just vibes.
