We met at Round Table through friends. We all planned to hang out again, and ended up going dancing. I asked Steph to dance, she said yes, and we've been dancing everyday since. - Jerric
That dance happened 1 month before I started graduate school - 3,000 miles away in Boston! We spent the month trying to spend as much time as possible together. A couple weeks into it, Jerric said something along the lines of, if you're in, I'm in. I hesitated a bit thinking there was no way this guy would want to spend a year of phone calls and seeing each other every few months. But he persisted, and I didn't need much convincing. We knew it would be hard work, but when we look back now, it was exciting and fun. We had so many big, beautiful moments together in those airports while traveling together, and sometimes even when we were saying goodbye to eachother, or on Facetime. Jerric never wavered, and was never not committed to making it fun. We would get dressed up and go on dates. We would take our computer and phone to restaurants and eat with each other, go to movies together. For me, that year apart, the way we tackling it together, and made it fun and romantic, that built our strong foundation, one we cherish. - Steph
I was planning for a few weeks to take a trip to LA. I picked a nice restaurant rooftop so we could see the sunset and the Hollywood sign. I got a cardboard gift card from Round Table, because its where we first met and coordinated with the server to bring it out with the dessert. When she saw the card thats when I got down on my knee hoping she'd say yes ... or else I would have left her up there. - Jerric
