Some love stories start with a spark. Ours started with a headset, a cubicle, and the unmistakable glow of Bank of America’s fluorescent lighting. We first met years ago as coworkers—two people just trying to survive conference calls and the shared trauma of corporate training courses. What started as simple conversations, inside jokes, and the daily grind between colleagues slowly grew into a meaningful friendship built on trust and mutual respect. Neither of us realized then just how meaningful that connection would become. Eventually, Jmac left the bank to pursue new opportunities, and life naturally pulled us in different directions. We drifted apart, but the universe had other plans. Fast forward to the summer of 2020–peak pandemic, the world was upside down and toilet paper was a luxury item. Out of all the places fate could have chosen to reunite us, it picked Wendy’s. Yes… Wendy’s. Nothing says “meant to be” quite like crossing paths again over a $5 biggie bag and spicy nuggets during a global crisis. We both ended up at Wendy’s at the exact same time. If that’s not destiny, it’s at least very impressive timing. One spicy nugget later, we realized something was different. That unexpected moment quickly turned into hours of catching up, rediscovering our connection, and realizing that the friendship we built years ago had quietly grown into something deeper. From that moment on, everything just clicked. Today, we’re grateful for every twist, turn, and perfectly timed fast‑food run that brought us back to each other. Our story may not have started with fireworks, but it grew with intention, love, and mutual respect — and now, we’re ready to begin our next chapter as husband and wife, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
