Question

Is your wedding still on schedule?

Answer

Yes. Our wedding ceremony has been approved by the Church Administration to be held in the Kansas City chapel. And our reception will also continue as planned at the Unity Village Ballroom space.

Question

How many can attend the ceremony?

Answer

At this moment, as approved by the Church Administration, we are only allowed to have 25 attendees for our wedding ceremony. We will be joined by our immediate family, some of our entourage and sponsors. We will not be able to broadcast or live-stream our wedding ceremony. We thank you for your understanding.

Question

Is your reception venue restricted due to Covid-19 guidelines?

Answer

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been working very closely with our reception venue. As of 07/27/2020, Unity Village has confirmed that we will be allowed to have up to 90 individuals present during our wedding reception. Due to these limitations, we have already closed our RSVP and have notified those who have submitted their RSVP on time that they have a spot in our reception. At this moment, we regretfully inform those who wish to RSVP that we cannot accommodate more attendees. Question

How is your venue preparing for your reception?

Answer

Our venue has assured us that they are working hard to ensure all of their guests, staff and vendors remain safe and free from infection. They have partnered with local infectious disease agencies to determine high traffic areas and to implement health and safety measures. We are hopeful and remaining prayerful that our wedding venue will be available for our special day. Update: 07/27/2020 Our venue has notified us that they have implemented such measures and will be requiring all attendees to observe social distancing and following the state mandate to wear face coverings during the event. Face coverings can be removed when seated and actively eating. But must be worn when moving around. As such, we ask all our guests to bring their own face coverings. Hand hygiene stations have also been prepared. But please observe hand hygiene before and after entering the venue.

Question

Can I bring my children to the reception?

Answer

Due to the restrictions in place, we are cooperating with our reception venue to limit our guests to facilitate the practice of social distancing. Therefore, we have decreased the number of our guests and limited the number of children that are invited. For those who have already received their invitation, you may have noticed we did not include your children’s names on the invitation. We respectfully ask to please attend our wedding and reception as a couple and have childcare plans in place for the entirety of the occasion.
