It was during March or April of 2013 and I was going out with some of my friends to a bar in downtown Portsmouth. We were all sitting at the bar having our drinks when I saw Jerome walk in and sit at the bar across from us. Of course I turned to my friends and told them I thought he was cute!! I turned back to Jerome and made a little eye contact and flashed my smile. So the bartender comes up to us later and says that the guy over there (Jerome) is buying drinks!! So then he walks over to us and we start to chat and exchange numbers and instagram names. I instantly go through his pictures to see what he was about and I liked what I saw. After that night we hung out almost every weekend during that summer. Being that we both were getting out of long term relationships, We were there for each other and able to talk about everything. Best summers of my life!! We then decided that we were best as just friends at that moment. So he entered into another relationship towards the end of the summer and I was dating someone else at the time, but that didn’t stop our friendship!! At one point we stopped talking for about 6 months in 2015, only for us to reconnect as friends during that year again. We went and hung out at a happy hour catching up and talking about life. We were both getting out of our recent relationships. A couple of months later it was super bowl weekend and I watched it at his apartment and it seemed like we didn’t miss a beat. I guess time was on our side because after that we started to officially date and made it official in August of 2016!! We traveled and enjoyed our time rekindling. We then decided we were going to change it up and move to Florida and we did just that in December 2016!! We found out we were expecting our baby girl Zoey in October of 2017 and during our baby shower in April of 2018 he proposed and shocked everyone!!! Such a lucky and blessed girl I am!!!

It all started in the summer of 13’ when Bri and I met. It felt like we knew each other for years because of how good we clicked. I was just getting out of a relationship as was she so we both were lost souls looking for our next journey in life. Little did we know we would be each other’s forever. . .
