Shawn Gurrola-Coner

Man of Honor

Shawn and Kim met in the mountains of California in 2011 and have been go on adventures ever since ! Shawn has always been drawn to Kims infectious laughter , whole hearted smile , and always up for any and all adventures attitude. They have presented at conferences, attended national trainings, cohosted momapaloozas, and had lots of drinks and laughs all over the United States !!! They can always be counted on to be giggling in the corner, finding the other misfits in the room!

Brent Williams

Best Man

Brent and Jerome met in high school when Jerome needed a ride home from school. Since then they have been as close as brothers. After rooming together throughout college they pursued advanced degrees in their respective fields. Even while studying in different parts of the country they still made time to reach out and stay connected. Brent has served as a trusted resource and good friend to Jerome for years.

Bridesmaid

Kimberly and I met when were 12 years old in band class, where we both chose the flute to be our instrument of choice. Although we went to different high schools and lived in different places since college, I am blessed to say we remained close friends. We've seen 5 states together, countless birthdays and celebrations. Despite the physical distance we’re always able to pick up right where we left off whenever we’re together. Many of my biggest life moment, I've had Kimberly by my side. So, it's only fitting I'm there by hers as she embarks on this new life journey.

The year was 1995-1996, something like that. I first met Kim on the softball diamond. We played for the Gresham Park Rattlers. It was my first year playing softball and I didn't know anything about it. Kim was the pitcher, I was the catcher. That is, until they discovered I couldn't catch. We played together for about 3-4 years then we parted ways. As we headed to middle school I saw that familiar warm smile. We attended middle school together at Peachtree Middle. Here we were in the band and was able to travel and play together once again. We always kept in touch over years. Kim was a great taboo player! We would make Rice Krispy treats and set our hands on fire when we would come home for college breaks. Kim has always been that warm hug and wonderful smile that I've always needed.
