Before college Jerod had decided to major in Physical Therapy and had chosen UNG for its great PT program. I originally had decided to major in Nursing at UNG. It was maybe a couple weeks after school started that we met each other through our mutual friends and then it couldn’t have been more than 2 weeks after that that we were falling in love. It sounded crazy then but I called my mom right before we started dating and I remember telling her “mom I know this sounds crazy but I’m seriously going to marry Jerod one day” and here we are 4 years later. Jerod always tells me it wasn’t weeks for him that he fell in love with me the first time he heard me laugh, he knew that I was it for him. Over the next 4 years we would become each others best friend, go through several major changes and fall even more in love. Because of where we’ve ended up, with a major in management and marketing we now know that God sent us to UNG to find each other, each other’s soul mate.Fast forward to fall 2018 when Jerod planned the most perfect engagement at my favorite place, the Biltmore and got down on one knee in the Asheville mountains and said the most sincere sweetest things anyone’s ever said to me and then asked me to be his wife. It truly was the most precious moment of my life so far and it was such an easy question to answer! We’ve grown so much together in the past few years, especially in our individual faiths. God has been so present, during the good and the bad and through His love we’ve been able to navigate through our relationship and college. Putting God first in our relationship has always been something we make our #1 priority because at the end of the day that is the reason we work so well. We’ve been so blessed in so many ways and so blessed to have each other to go through life with. We also are so blessed to have our amazing family and friends that are constantly supporting us and helping us to grow into the man and woman that we are!
