When should I RSVP by?

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, this evening will be all about dressing to impress with a formal dress code. Ladies are encouraged to wear a formal dress, a cocktail dress, a classy jumpsuit or chic midi dress! Men are asked to wear a suit with dress shoes to complete the look. No jeans.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 6:00 pm - please arrive no later 5:30 pm to secure parking and to enjoy a welcome drink!

Can I bring a date?

We're so excited to celebrate with you! Unfortunately we're keeping the guest list limited to those specifically named on the invitation. Please reach out to the couple at JonesandChalat@gmail.com if you have any questions!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this can be a fun opportunity for you to enjoy a parents’ night out! Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have secured two room blocks - one at the Detroit Renaissance Center for our guests which is a 5 minute walk away from the venue as well as one at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Detroit! The website links to our room blocks can be found under the Travel tab. However there are plenty of hotels in the downtown area that would be easy to get to/and from the Waterview Loft.

I will be driving - is there parking for the ceremony/reception nearby?

Answer

Yes! There is a SP+ Parking Garage entrance located on the corner of Bates and Atwater Street. Please self-park in the parking garage - the venue is a short walk from the parking garage.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are hosting a Welcome Event on Friday, June 13th at the Detroit Shipping Company and would love to kick off the weekend with all of our friends and family that are in-town! We are also planning a farewell brunch on Sunday June 15th to close off the weekend at The Atheneum Hotel in the Hermes meeting space. The Hermes space is on the first floor of the hotel across from the front desk.
