We both went to high school together but never met. After turning 21 we both liked to party it up. So when a mutual friend invited us both to a craw-fish boil at the Blind Horse in Weatherford, TX we ended up in the same place at the same time. We both had our own group of friends we were hanging out with. However, when I saw Jerimi sitting alone at a small table I thought he was cute and took my shot inviting him to come sit at the table with me and my friends. We actually did not exchange numbers this night, Jeirmi's cousin Dylan added me on Snapchat the night before and got us in contact with each other, and the rest is history.

After about a week of talking we finally went on our first date. A friend of mine had ended up with free Sunny Sweeny tickets to Billy Bob's she gifted to me for our date. We had originally planned to go to the concert, then eat afterwards. When Jerimi picked me up we both decided we were already starving so dinner would be first, and the concert would be second. We had so much fun at dinner that we didn't even make it to the concert, it was over by the time we got there, but we went in anyways and had a couple drinks and played pool. The bar was slow so they kicked us out and closed early. So, like I said we liked to party it up sooooo we went to PR's down the road and had a few more drinks and danced. On the way home Jerimi was driving and ended up getting pulled over. While he was doing a sobriety test I was texting my friend freaking out telling her she was going to have to come get me and to my suprise he sat down in the car got buckled and we left. Turns out my friend didn't have to come get me after all, but after the long wait in the car I needed a restroom ASAP, and he needed gas. When pulling up to the gas station it looked closed, but I decided to test the doors anyways. Sure enough I was right and they were closed, when I got back to the car my door would not open....... Jerimi locked the keys inside of the car. We tried and tried to get into the car and I was stressing I had to pee sooooooo bad, and I was worried about a cop pulling up at any second. After what seemed like 30 minutes of holding it in and trying to get into the car I could NOT hold it anymore and had to go behind the dumpster. A girls got to do what shes got to do. When I came back to the car there was some kind of van maybe charter or something like that trying to help Jerimi break into his own car. After another 15 minutes or so they were FINALLY able to get in the car and we made it home safely. Needless to say I somehow still liked him enough for a second date.

As we learned from the first date, Jerimi is a very classy man. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, and we have always discussed how I did not want a lot of people around when he proposes. This year we decided to put our normal Christmas Eve traditions on hold since his sister had gotten COVID. She said she would test again that morning and everyone agreed if it was negative we would still have Christmas Eve. The night before she was still testing positive and we did not have much hope, we had our own Christmas at home since we would be other places on Christmas day. Next thing you know we are getting messages the day of that his sister tested negative and Christmas Eve is back on! We live an hour away, and I wanted to shower before we left. We had already cleaned up, and so I ran to get in the shower. After putting shampoo in my hair Jerimi comes into the shower and tells me we forgot one more gift. I was like really right now and he said yes. After I began pulling the paper off and it was a velvet box at that point a knew and started crying. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him then put the ring on my wet finger.
