Jerico and Rebeca’s story began in 2016 at Best Buy, where Jerico worked overnight in the warehouse and Rebeca was on the sales floor. At first, they were just coworkers. But as they got to know each other, they realized they shared more than just a workplace: similar values, family dynamics, music tastes, and life goals. Their first date set the tone for what was to come. They went out for Boba, planning a quick outing, but hours of conversation later, the shop had to politely asked them to leave as they lost track of time talking to each other. From that night on, there was no looking back. Life wasn’t always perfectly synchronized. Seeing as Jerico is a morning person, and Rebeca is a night owl, yet they always found ways to make it work. Rebeca would wait for Jerico’s midnight lunch during his overnight shifts, and later, when they attended different colleges, they would meet halfway between campuses to see each other. Eventually, both transferred to SDSU, which made it easier to continue building their life together. Adventures became a hallmark of their relationship. They bowled in leagues together, explored restaurants from hidden gems to Michelin-starred spots, attended Comic-Con every year since 2018, and spent entire summers visiting every theme park they could before diving into college life. Their first vacation to Seattle made them fall in love with a city as much as they fell in love with each other, which now hold a very dear spot in their heart. Jerico’s 21st birthday trip to Las Vegas with family is another favorite memory they hold close. They faced challenges as well. The uncertainty of 2020 tested them in ways they hadn’t anticipated, but they supported each other through every twist and turn. They had both started jumping into the "real world" after college, navigating the dynamics of how their careers and relationship started to develop in real time. Moving in together in 2023 brought surprises, joy, and lessons, including welcoming two furry family members, their cat Boba and their dog Fern. Then came the perfect chapter: the proposal. On November 7, 2025, Jerico planned a private but magical moment at the Seattle Japanese Garden. He even hired a photographer to capture it in the background. Rebeca had no idea what was coming, sitting on a bench while Jerico nervously tried to make everything perfect. When he finally proposed, emotions overflowed with surprise, happiness, and pure love for both of them. It was a moment they will never forget and one that perfectly captures their story: heartfelt, playful, and full of joy. Through it all, Jerico and Rebeca continue to inspire and push each other to grow, personally and professionally. They share similar family traditions, create new ones together, and have embraced each other’s families as their own.
