Our Love Story

Jeric and I share a bond that began long before either of us realized how special it truly was. We were childhood neighbors, growing up in the same community and sharing the same province — familiar faces in a small, simple world. Back then, neither of us could have guessed that the person we’d laugh with as kids or greet in passing would one day become the person we’d choose to spend forever with. As the years went by, life carried us in different directions. We both had our own experiences and lessons to learn. Yet fate has a beautiful way of weaving lives together again — even after time and distance. The first chapter of our story as a couple began in 2013, when Jeric started courting me — young, sincere, and full of that tender affection only first love can bring. He made every effort to show how much he cared, but as much as I appreciated it, I wasn’t ready then. I’ll admit it now: I was the one who ghosted him. Life was simple, but my heart wasn’t yet ready for the kind of love he was offering. We went on with our lives, not knowing what the future had planned. Still, destiny quietly kept us connected — through shared memories, familiar places, and an unspoken bond that time couldn’t erase. Fast forward to 2023, ten years later. Fate decided it was time for our paths to cross again. Our first real meeting after all those years happened at my cousin’s house — a place that suddenly felt like a bridge between the past and the present. Seeing Jeric again felt both familiar and new. There was comfort, the kind you feel with someone who has always been part of your story, and an undeniable spark that felt brand new. That reconnection led to one unforgettable evening — our first night ride at Escalera on October 21, 2023. The night was simple yet magical: cool air, city lights, laughter, coffee, pasta, and endless stories. It felt as though time had folded, bringing our past and present together. What began as a casual ride became a night we would never forget. The very next day, October 22, 2023, we made it official. That night at Escalera wasn’t just a date — it was the beginning of a new chapter. A love story that had paused for a decade found its way back, stronger than ever. Since then, our relationship has been a journey of love, patience, and understanding. It’s not perfect — and we’ve never expected it to be. We’ve had our share of challenges and disagreements, but what makes our story special is our willingness to always choose love. We listen, we forgive, and we hold on — because we know what we have is worth it. Our love isn’t flawless, but it’s real — built on effort, trust, and faith. Every disagreement, every lesson, and every reconciliation has only deepened the bond we share. Then came October 19, 2024 — the day Jeric asked the question that would change our lives forever. It wasn’t about grand gestures or surprises; it was about meaning. After everything we had been through — the years apart, the rekindling, the growth — it all led to that single, beautiful question: “Will you marry me?” Without hesitation, I said yes. Because by then, I knew — I was saying yes to the boy who once courted me, to the man who waited patiently for life to bring us back together, and to the love that took ten years to find its perfect timing. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we look back with grateful hearts. From childhood neighbors to first love, to years apart, and now to forever — our story is proof that true love doesn’t always follow a straight path. Sometimes, it pauses, it tests, it waits — but if it’s meant for you, it will always find its way back. What began as childhood neighbors blossomed into first love, faded into memory, and bloomed once more into something stronger — a love that feels like home. And now, with hearts full of joy and faith, we step into forever, knowing that every chapter of our past brought us exactly where we’re meant to be. ❤️
