We’re getting married!

We met while watching a band on NYE in Dallas. We hit it off immediately and she gave him her REAL number and he called.

We dated for a while in 2012, but it fizzled. Fast forward 5 years. Jerica saw Johnathan on Snapchat and snapped him some good wishes. We started talking and will now live happily ever after. Basically, we owe our relationship to a cheezy NYE band, Snapchat, and, of course, God for orchestrating it all.

HER We had discussed getting engaged in 2020. On NYE, we went to a nice dinner (and a beautiful proposal opportunity) and then to my house. I was thinking, "he has two hours left in 2020 to do this". In my dining room, I turned to him and opened my big mouth, and started to say something. This is when he took a ring box from his pocket. I said YES! before he had a chance to get on a knee or say one single word. Now, I am teasing that he hasn't actually asked... HIM: We met on a New Year's Eve and I planned on proposing on New Year's Eve at dinner. We went to our favorite little place. She didn't notice the lovey looks I was giving her through dinner. After we started eating, some restaurant patrons started getting a little rowdy. They were having a good time and drinking a lot of good wine. It just didn't feel right. What did feel right is when we went to her house and the dogs greeted us happily. They were the perfect audience for a proposal. She did not let me say a word. She saw the ring box coming from my pocket and hasn't stopped smiling since.
