Question
What is the dress code?
Answer
Black-Tie Preferred: Wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses, tuxes with neckties or bowties. Please do not wear white/ivory/cream—You WILL be asked to leave.

Can my kids come?
Answer
Children are welcome to come to the Ceremony! The Reception will start around 6 PM, and the Venue's policies unfortunately do not allow children to stay for the Reception due to safety reasons.

Can I take pictures of/record the ceremony?
Answer
We have an incredibly talented team of photography and videography professionals. There is no need to have your personal devices out during the ceremony. Please be respectful of this rule and be present in the moment. Pictures of the ceremony will be posted afterwards for your viewing pleasure!

Can I bring a plus one?

We have included all plus ones to the guest list that we know about already, but please feel free to ask us if you would like to bring a guest that is not accounted for.

Yes, Ceresville Mansion has ample, free on-site parking for all guests who choose to drive.

What Airport should I fly into?
Answer
Baltimore/Washington International (BWI), Baltimore/Washington International (BWI), and Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) are all nearby, each about an hour from Ceresville Mansion. If you plan to stay in DC, then DCA or IAD are probably your best options! DCA and IAD are also directly connected to the WMATA Metro (the area's subway system). For those conscious of budget, BWI typically has a larger selection of cheap flights.

Do I need to rent a car?
Answer
If staying primarily in Frederick: Yes, rent a car. Frederick is suburban/rural, and while the downtown area is walkable, getting between the hotel, Ceresville Mansion, and local dining is easiest by car. If staying in Downtown DC the entire time: Be aware that driving in DC is a...UNIQUE experience. Be prepared for a challenge, and some genuinely unique traffic patterns. Also of note, parking at DC hotels averages $50–$85/night (do not assume that is included in the cost of your room), street parking is heavily restricted, and traffic is notoriously congested. We highly recommend taking the WMATA Metro (the area's subway system) when possible in DC. Getting to Ceresville Mansion from DC: Ceresville Mansion is approximately 50 miles northwest of Downtown DC. There is no Metro or rail service to the venue. Ceresville is readily accessible by car as well as rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc).

What the heck is the Metro?
Answer
The WMATA Metro is the area's subway system (both above ground and below ground trains). It is clean, safe, and a great way to travel throughout DC and surrounding areas: Payment: At the entrance, you can either Tap to Pay with any major credit or debit cards, or use a SmarTrip card which you can buy and load at the fare machines situated outside any Metro station. If technically inclined, you can alternatively download the SmarTrip app to your iPhone (Apple Wallet) or Android (Google Wallet) before you arrive to tap your phone directly at the turnstiles. Fares: Pricing varies by distance and time of day (peak vs. off-peak). You must tap your card/phone both when entering and when exiting the station. Escalator Etiquette: The golden rule of DC transit: Stand on the right, walk on the left. Stopping on the left side of a metro escalator will draw immediate sighs from locals trying to catch a train. Everyone has a place to be and can seem unsympathetic when they are in a hurry. Just stand on the right, and you'll be fine!
