Waylon is my walker coonhound that brought me Jeremy McCall. I thought I was just getting a new puppy at the time and to enjoy being a southern girl hunting with him and living in my small town. Then Jeremy McCall came in to the picture. I always knew God made him specifically for me because how would we have met living two hours away from eachother with no connection at all besides my dog? Funny thing is Jeremy actually messaged me on facebook to give me some pointers on how to show Waylon in dog shows, and he didn’t stop talking to me after that. He persisted everyday to talk to me while I was thinking it probably wouldn’t go anywhere since I was two hours away from him with no plans to move to the upstate. If anything, I had big plans to move in the opposite direction to the Lowcountry. Jeremy McCall finally asked me to officially be his girlfriend the following June. Fast forward about a year of long distance dating, I moved to Piedmont, SC to “go to school” is what I told my dad, but the real reason was to be closer to Jeremy McCall. On our 3rd anniversary of June 2019 we left for Edisto, SC to have a weekend in the lowcountry. That friday we found out we closed on our land in Laurens, and I didn’t think it could get any better. Then Saturday Jeremy makes us wake up to go redfishing in Beaufort (my favorite place on this Earth) at 3 o’clock in the morning y’all. Also let me throw in that we were in a tent camping that weekend! So I had to use a yeti bucket to put my curling iron on and a flashlight to do my makeup. If I wasn’t suspicious, I would’ve never gotten ready for fishing! But he told me to get my nails done before the trip and that makes every girl suspicious of whats to come. So that morning in the most perfect sunrise ever, at barely 6am, Jeremy McCall got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes to forever and it was the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer.
