We recommend booking your travel as early as possible to take advantage of the best rates! Kindly RSVP by March 1st to help us plan everything with care. We understand that having a destination wedding means some of our loved ones may not be able to attend. If you already know whether or not you'll be joining us, please let us know as soon as you can—this will allow us to extend invitations to others we’d love to celebrate with if space becomes available.
You’re welcome to arrive whenever you'd like, but we recommend getting in by Friday to settle in. If that’s not possible, try to be here by Saturday at the latest to avoid any travel hiccups, especially since the last ferry from Ceiba to Vieques leaves at 8:00 PM.
No passport needed! Since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, all you’ll need is a valid REAL ID.
Puerto Rico doesn’t observe daylight savings time, so it will be one hour behind Central Time.
Most places on the island accept cards, but some taxis and spots may not, so it’s a good idea to have some cash just in case. No worries if you forget, there are ATMs on the island!
The average temperature in May is ~86˚F. The rainy season in Puerto Rico usually runs from April through November, with the highest rainfall occurring in August, September, and October. Showers tend to be brief and refreshing, often followed by sunshine.
The ceremony will be on the beach and the reception will be on the pool deck/grass. If it happens to rain, the party can continue inside the villa or on the covered deck!
At this time we do not have any plans to host an additional reception in the states.
Please reach out to us directly with any dietary restrictions and we will work to accommodate them as we plan our menu.
There’s no full hospital on the island, but there is an urgent care and some local pharmacies if needed. Hopefully you won’t need them, but just in case, here are some important numbers: Emergency: 787-741-8261 or 911 Fire Department: 787-741-2111 Police Department: 787-741-2020
There are many great restaurants and a couple of grocery stores on the island. You’ll find our restaurant recommendations in the Things to Do section!
There’s no Uber or Lyft on the island, so you’ll need to take a taxi or rent a car to get around. Taxis can be limited and pricey, so we recommend renting a car if possible. You can find more details about both in our Travel section!
Our top recommendation is the Bioluminescent Bay, it’s a must-see! For more details and other ideas, check out our Things to Do section.
You can find our recommendations in the Travel section! Booking early is essential! The venue is also located in a neighborhood filled with rental houses if you are looking to stay near the festivities!
