Where to Stay

We’re so excited to have you in Golden! There are a variety of hotel options available in town, and with Denver just a quick 15-25 minute drive away. There are plenty of Airbnbs in and around both Golden and Denver. Golden is a popular destination during the summer, so hotels/airbnbs can fill quickly.

The Golden Hotel

Interested in staying in historic downtown Golden and heart of the action? We have a block of rooms pre-booked at the The Golden Hotel, which is where the bus to the ceremony will depart from and where the reception will happen! There are single king and double queen rooms available for $349/night. There are also expanded double queen rooms if you're interested in staying with a group that runs from $375-$400. To book a room, call the hotel at 303-279-0100 and say you would like to book for the Groeneveld-Goodman wedding. There is currently no way to book these rooms online.

Flight

Denver International Airport

If you're flying in, you will be landing at Denver International Airport. There are many car rental companies at the airport. If you are not renting a car, you can take the RTD train from the airport all the way to Golden. You take A line west to Union Station, exit and transfer to the W line, where you will head west to Golden. From there, your hotel is likely a short Uber away, or there is a free shuttle to downtown Golden.

Altitude Tips for Our Out-of-Town Guests

As we’re nestled at over 5,600 feet above sea level here in Golden, CO - you may feel the effects of the higher altitude if you're not used to it. We recommend a few tips: Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and during your trip. Pace Yourself: You may notice it's a bit harder to catch your breath. Take it easy, especially with physical activity. Think about Alcohol and Caffeine: These can dehydrate you more quickly at altitude. Moisturize: The air is drier here, so pack lip balm and lotion.
