The reception venue will be at Carrillo Beach Residence, which is about a 15-minute drive from Kalibo Cathedral or Downtown area. You can use Google Maps and search for "Sitio Podlun"—this will give you a general idea of the area. The residence is located along the coast nearby.
We are delighted to share that the reception will be hosted at Jeremy’s parents’ beautiful beachside residence. The celebration will take place primarily outdoors, under elegant tents that offer both shade and the refreshing ocean breeze. Tropical attire is encouraged, as we anticipate warm weather with temperatures around 85°F. While there may be a chance of light showers and the occasional beachside gust, rain or shine, the festivities will go on! We’re ready to dance, laugh, and make unforgettable memories—no matter the weather— and we can’t wait to celebrate with you in true seaside style. We will be celebrating all afternoon and evening until the last person leaves, so feel free to come and go.
Optional Boracay Trip — Let’s Make It Smooth! If you’re planning to visit Boracay during your time in the Philippines, please let us know in advance so we can get a proper headcount for the vans we’ll need. You're welcome to book any hotel or lodging on the island, and we suggest staying in Station 0, 1, 2, or 3. 1. Stations 1, 2, and 3 are connected by a long, walkable main strip—perfect for exploring on foot. 2. Station 0 is a bit more tucked away and requires an E-trike (electric tricycle) to reach the main area, but it offers a quieter, more secluded vibe. We’ll be staying at Henann Crystal Sands Resort in Station 3, and would love to link up with anyone who’s nearby! Getting to Boracay – What to Expect While the journey to the island can be a bit long and occasionally frustrating, don’t worry—we’ll have an escort to help guide the group through the process. Here's a step-by-step breakdown: 1. Van ride – About 1 hour from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Port 2. Port procedures – Sign forms, show ID, and pay a terminal fee, environmental fee, and boat ticket, totaling around $8–$10 per person 3. Boat ride – A 15-minute boat trip to Boracay Island 4. E-trike transfer – After docking, take an E-trike to your hotel 5. Settle in & explore! 6. We’ll try to gather for a lunch or dinner during the stay to enjoy some bonding time. A Few Extra Notes Feel free to use Google or your favorite travel site to research the island—Boracay truly has something for everyone, from white sand beaches and water sports to vibrant nightlife and relaxing spas. For your return trip, we’ll simply reverse the same process: E-trike to the port, boat ride back, and van transfer to Kalibo. Above all, please stay safe, take your time, and enjoy this as your own mini vacation—you absolutely deserve it!
Jeremy first brought Olivia to the Philippines in 2020, along with her sister Jennifer. From the moment they arrived, they fell in love—with the warmth of Filipino hospitality, the charm of island life, the abundance of fresh fruit and delicious food, and the breathtaking beauty of the beaches and natural wonders. Olivia had always dreamed of a tropical wedding, and it quickly became clear that this was the perfect place to say our "I do’s." Not only does it hold special meaning for us, but it also offers a wonderful opportunity to turn our celebration into a mini family reunion—with our closest friends by our side.
Motorized Tricycles are the primary mode to get around the island, along with taxis and jeeps. There is standard fare but keep in mind tourist may be charged a bit more, you can bargain with other drivers on the fare depending on where you want to go. I'm not too sure about rental cars in Kalibo, but I'll have to check into that if you are interested in renting a car.
We are thrilled to welcome children to join in the celebration! A special kids’ table and fun activities will be provided to help keep our youngest guests entertained throughout the evening. We can't wait to celebrate with guests of all ages!
Kalibo is the capital of the province Aklan. On the Panay Island south of Manila. It's about over an hour domestic flight from Manila. About a $20-50 one way plane ticket ride.
Yes! As with any travel destination, we kindly encourage guests to stay mindful of their surroundings and keep personal belongings secure. While incidents are rare—and we've personally never experienced any issues here—it's always best to exercise a bit of caution, just in case. Your comfort and safety mean the world to us, and we want you to enjoy every moment with peace of mind
For most travel to Kalibo (KLO) from the west coast you will have to fly into Manila International Airport (MNL) and connect "domestically" to KLO. The following airlines listed below flies directly in and out of Kalibo (KLO): AirAsia Philippines Cebu Pacific Philippine Airline (As of January 1st 2025, they have limited service to KLO and are mostlying flying into Caticlan Airport which is an hour drive away from KLO). If you need any suggestion please feel free to let us know.
Please view our "Travel" section as it will give you a list of hotels that are close by to where we will be staying. I believe the hotels are less than a 10 minute ride to our location.
Please know that there is absolutely no pressure or obligation to attend. We completely understand that traveling to the Philippines can be a big commitment, and everyone’s circumstances are different. Your love and support mean the world to us, whether near or far—and we’ll be celebrating with you in spirit no matter what! Know that we'll miss you and hope we can celebrate our time with a hug, conversation, a cup of coffee, tea, or wine the next time we see each other.
