Directions and FAQ

The Wedding Website of Jeremy Braun and Megan Lopez
We will be located at the South Shore! There are two entrances into the park, please make sure you enter through the South Shore Entrance (see map above). We have rented out 3 outdoor shelters (outlined in red above): - White Pine Shelter (closest to entrance) - Shagbark Shelter (middle of the three) *Main Food and Bev Location* - White Oak Shelter (closest to beach) Please follow the red line to direct you to all three shelters! The three shelters provide us with some extra shade, protection and space. All of which are an open sheltered area with electric lights, electric outlets, and 2 have a kitchenette area. There are public restrooms attached to each shelter, even though we rented them out, the public is still able to use them if needed. Shagbark - Main Food and Beverage Location White Oak - Paddleboards and Beach Hangout White Pine - Additional space if needed! Please do not hesitate to contact either of us if you need additional instructions!
Question

Parking Cost and Location?

Answer

There are several lots right near the shelters located in the right image. Devils Lake is Wisconsins busiest State Park with over 2.3 million annual visitors. Arriving early is always a best bet for a parking spot, however, with a Friday event, it's likely not going to get as busy until early to mid afternoon. Also if lots are full you can park on the roadside along "South Lake Drive" as long as you have a vehicle admission sticker on your windshield or placed on your dashboard. All passes can be purchased ahead of time at this URL: https://shop.wi.gov/dnrparkspasses Alternatively you can purchase your pass at the Entrance Pay station as shown in the upper right image. WI Resident Day Pass: $13.00 Out of State Day Pass: $16.00 WI Resident Annual Pass: $28.00 Out of State Annual Pass: $50.00 This is Jeremy's shameless plug to purchase an annual pass and visit our incredible state park systems in WI and spend more time outdoors connecting to the beauty around us.

Question

What To Bring

Answer

We will be bringing some additional sunscreen, bug spray, general toiletries if needed. Remember to grab any towels, change of clothing, life jackets, goggles, camping chairs, paddle boards, kayaks and any additional yard games that you would like to share. We will be providing food and beverages but if there are any special items you would prefer please feel free to bring your own. Also if you are a hiker there are many great paths varying in difficulty listed in the "Things to Do" tab so please bring some hiking shoes and enjoy! If you are unsure of anything do not hesitate to reach out and ask. We are absolutely thrilled to share one of the most special locations to both of us with all of you.

Question

What's the Vibe?

Answer

This is very much a casual day! You can wear what you feel most comfortable in for a day at the park. We want this day to be a day where people can come and go as they please and celebrate with us at any time of the day! Also please feel free to explore, you do not need to hang out at the shelters all day if you want to seek out your own adventure! There is SOOO much to do at Devils Lake and we want to share all of it. Jeremy and I will change into our vow ceremony clothing once that time comes but please do not feel that you have to dress up for the event!
