Mary Anne and Jeremy met in November of 2019 right before Mary Anne was to leave the country for a couple of weeks for a hiking trip in Patagonia. Jeremy wanted to make sure they went out again so that Mary Anne will not forget him when she was away. Even from thousands of miles away, Jeremy made sure to keep in touch. On her return, they have been inseparable. After spending many quarantine days working out, watching countless movies and having a blast doing absolutely nothing, they knew they could spend forever together.

Jeremy proposed to Mary Anne on August 8, 2021 right before her birthday. After a wonderful date night, Jeremy surprised her with the most romantic proposal. He had family and friends waiting in a parking lot near their new home thinking they were there for a surprise birthday party; but to everyone's surprise, they were there to watch him propose courtesy of Facebook Live. Jeremy walked Mary Anne through their gate to a pathway of candles and rose petals leading to a large "SAY YES" sign covered in flowers. Then, he got down on one knee and declared his love for her. She said YES and their friends and family joined them to celebrate!
