We met at work. We both work at the University of Nebraska State Museum. Jeremy works in Vertebrate Paleontology and I work in Anthropology. On my second day, we talked about the Pokémon shirt he was wearing and we instantly became best friends.

After I came back from a nearly week long work trip, Jeremy suggested that we go out on a date. We got dressed up and he picked me up from my apartment, flowers in hand. We went out to one of our favorite restaurants and then he drove us out to Spring Creek Prairie. We walked around, watching the sunset. We stopped on a bench for a short while and when we stood back up, he took my hands and told me how much he loved me. I immediately started jumping up and down. When he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, I literally knocked him over with a hug and said yes!
