How We Met

Love You A Latte!

The living room of the Heimbecker's house (Karli's brother), became a place for worship, the Word, and community in 2015. What started as an open house began to fill with lovers of the Lord hungry for Him and time with His believers. In the midst of these Monday nights, Karli would occasionally visit from out of town and meet the friends of her brother. It was one of those nights when Karli met the soft-spoken boy on the cajón, Jeremy. Months went on with no conversation or interaction between the two. Karli continued knowing about the drummer, and Jeremy continued not remembering David had a sister. It was a journey all their own over the next several months as the Lord continued to develop them in their own identity and walks of life. In May of 2018, Jeremy and Karli ended up on a trip together to Texas for a Christian conference. They began to realize who each other were and started a friendship. Two weeks later, they were both on a plane to Colombia for a Harborside outreach trip. Both of their eyes were still blinded to more than a friendship with each other, but their hearts were opened to all that the Lord was doing in and through them in Colombia. The experience formed a bond between them and others that continued throughout the summer. A huge transition was taking place in Karli's life, and she had decided to move to Clearwater with a 180-degree change to her job and environment. It was a huge step of faith for her, and Jeremy was a solid and sweet friend through it all. The hangouts continued, the long conversations, the group gatherings, bike rides, worship sessions, dinners, games, and all the laughs. Then one night, after leaving one of the group gatherings, Jeremy and Karli sat in the car talking about worship music. It was at that moment, that Jeremy shared his heart, and the desire to pursue Karli's heart.

Will You Marry Me?

We Make A Great Blend!

In 2019, The Lord called Jeremy and Karli to go on a mission trip to Pretoria, South Africa. This would be the second outreach trip that they were going on together. In this season, the Lord gave Jeremy the idea to propose in South Africa. It was already a miracle that they were going, and it had been prophesied a year earlier. Not only that, but South Africa was also Karli’s first mission trip 10 years prior, which impacted her whole life and her faith-walk. Prior to the trip, Jeremy and Karli flew up to North Carolina to visit her family and while there, Jeremy asked her family’s permission to marry her. The family gave Jeremy the blessing and support, so ring shopping began! Leaving for South Africa, Jeremy had a ring in his suitcase, nervousness had set in, but the Lord brought peace. During the trip, Jeremy planned with the host-family on where to propose; they were excited and felt so a part of it, giving Jeremy many ideas. One night in prayer, Jeremy felt the Lord revealing the answer. On the day of, the team went to church and enjoyed the service. Afterward, they made their way to the proposal site - Irene Farm; a local farm that had a garden, lake, fields, and a restaurant. The team walked along the Irene trail and gathered around the lake, that’s where Jeremy spoke and read scripture to the team with a question in mind; suddenly... Jeremy called Karli over to the front and immediately she started tearing up, she knew what was about to happen. Jeremy read a letter from his heart tearfully, pulled out the ring, bent down on one knee and asked Karli Ann Heimbecker to marry him. Karli said “Yes!”, With tears running down her face, they embraced. Surrounded by friends, the couple was congratulated and celebrated that morning with breakfast, overlooking the lake and farm.
