On the evening of November 25, 2018 Jeremy Koling had just finished eating his Friendsgiving dinner when he noticed a beautiful woman he had never seen before sitting near his best friends Henry and Elyse Hamilton-Childres. He decided to take a seat in the room and nervously waited for his opportunity to meet her. Jeremy introduced himself and the beautiful woman smiled and said "Hello, my name is Jewels." There could have been hundreds people in that house, it wouldn't have mattered - The moment Jewels noticed Jeremy, he felt like they were the only two people in the world. There was something about this beautiful person that was quite unlike any beautiful person Jeremy had ever met before. She was genuinely kind, warm and welcoming, profoundly confident, completely unpretentious, and even a bit silly. Conversation came easy for them as they discussed their childhood, family, yoga, tattoos, diet, essential oils, and yes, of course, disc golf. Jeremy had mentioned that he had recently considered getting a tattoo of a perfect circle to represent the Moon (his first word) and that he wanted it to be inked in the space between his shoulder blades. At that moment Jewels rolled up her sleeve to reveal three of the tattoos on her left forearm. One of the tattoos was a perfect circle, another displayed the Moon cycles and the third had a lyric from a Dave Matthews song that read "The Space Between." Jeremy was stunned. He clearly knew there was something special about Jewels but he wasn't expecting full blown kismet! He took this as a clear sign to ask Jewels out on a date. She accepted. The night ended with Jewels making a to-go plate of food for Jeremy, full of green beans, mashed potatoes and more green beans. Before going home, Jewels agreed to stand back to back with Jeremy because he knew that their bodies curvature would align perfectly like a puzzle piece. The next night, they met up at Pinky's Westside Grill and Jeremy tried his first vegan burger. The next night, Jewels came to putting league to experience disc golf. The next night they practiced yoga together. The next night they saw their first movie together and this was when Jeremy finally worked up the courage to touch Jewels hand! Every day from that point forward, they found some way to meet up and add a new adventure to their blossoming love story. On December 9th they officially became a couple and a week later they exchanged their first "I love yous," although both had already known they had been in love for weeks. In May 2021, the couple traveled to Hawaii together. On May 22nd, their last day of vacation, J&J took a helicopter ride all across the big island. The helicopter made one stop. The couple got out of the helicopter and stood in awe at the base of Lapahoehoenui Falls. With ring in pocket Jeremy asked Jewels to once again stand back to back with him. He turned around, took a knee and proposed to the most beautiful woman he had ever known.
