It was love at first sight. For me. We'd met before at a party. I remembered her as the pretty, funny girl. She didn't remember me. It was the perfect opportunity to reintroduce myself and leave a good impression. I'm pretty sure I failed. But somehow, she agreed to go out with me.
I wanted to surprise Christina. She wanted to be surprised. So many opportunities to propose lost due to being obvious. So I struck when her guard was down. Friends were coming to visit and it was just another hangout day like all of the others. We were on a hike and she thought "There's no way Jeremy will pull anything with his friends around". She had no idea what was going to happen... until about two minutes before I proposed because "You started acting weird". I was nervous. I was 1000% certain she was going to say yes. But I was nervous. And when she did say yes, she said it so softly that I wasn't sure she had said anything at all. We'd been together almost six years at that point. It felt like we had known each other for our entire lives and at the same time every day felt fresh and exciting. Now we move on to the next chapter and we're so excited to be able to celebrate with you. See you in July!
