It's a little bit of both. A love fest, if you will. Bring whatever you need to be comfortable, nourished, and happy for the weekend. Please no dogs! We love your dogs, but there are other farm animals on the property and dogs have proven disruptive to them in the past. Your kids are okay though. You can bring your kids.
Yes, absolutely. You know us! Everything is allowed! However, the ceremony will be sacred and not silly. Please help us hold sacred space during the ceremony and refrain from your rowdy shenanigans until the reception. Thanks friends!
Yes! With respect to the environment, we are not doing paper invitations. If you received this by email or text, you are officially invited! Yay! Please RSVP and come celebrate with us.
We very much appreciate RSVPing! To do this, first go to the RSVP page on the website. Then, enter your name. Hopefully, you can simply and quickly RSVP from there. We are aware that this has not been simple for some. If this is the case, don’t worry! It’s still easy! On the RSVP page, send us an RSVP request and just let us know if you and your guest and/or family plan on attending and we can manually enter it on our end. Then consider your part done! Thank you for your awesome RSVP etiquette!
The ceremony is at 3 on Friday afternoon. Basically, any time before then is the perfect time to come. You’re welcome to come as early as you want on Friday to set up your camp site and hang out. Feel free to bring your bikes, frisbees, instruments and boots. There’s mountain biking, frisbee golf, and hiking around the property and in the area. Have fun! Recreate! .
Yes! There will be plenty of free camping onsite. Bring a tent or a camper or a school bus or a yurt! You can also sleep in your car, the dairy barn, or under the stars. There's plenty of room for you to set up and stay for the weekend.
You may want to get a hotel or an airbnb. It'll probably be very loud all night. There are a few hotels in Brevard, which is about 7 miles away, or by the Asheville Airport, which is 20 miles away.
You get to make this decision based on your comfort level, but most people will probably clear out sometime Saturday. You’re welcome to stay Saturday night as well. We’ve promised our host that everyone will be gone before Sunday at noon.
No silly. Just bring your tent and all the camping supplies you need to be comfortable. If you're a minimalist, you could also just bring a sleeping bag and pad and crash in the barn. There will be some hay to roll in.
Jeremy has a vision. He has a vision of many friends dancing in animal costumes on the farm. This is serious. It is a farm after all. We will be dressed in normal wedding clothes for the ceremony and potluck reception. Sometime during the after party there will costume changes. The wild creatures come out at night. Animal costumes will prevail.
We'll still love you, but don't drive home. Sleep it off in the barn and you can have some coffee in the morning. It's probably a good idea to throw a sleeping bag in your car as a precautionary measure.
Our hunch is that the weather will be perfect, but don’t take our word for it. Check the forecast before you come and bring what you need to be comfortable. Fall is gorgeous around these parts. November in the mountains can be warm or cold, rainy or dry. The days are usually quite lovely and it typically gets chilly at night. Jeremy will build one of his trademark bonfires, but you'll still probably need some layers.
