Is the ceremony outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, on the beach. We will be out there for about 15-20 minutes. Please dress accordingly. For Example: long coat, jacket, hat or scarf, snow boots and gloves.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Ceremony: Bundle up if the ceremony is outdoors. If it’s indoors, the dress code is cocktail formal.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please Arrive at Empire Beach by 3:30pm. Please account for weather conditions.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you drive your own vehicle, though we recommend carpooling if possible. Please plan to meet at Empire Beach by 3:30pm and feel free to stay in your car to keep warm until you see (*will update with specific name) on the beach. After the ceremony and photos, you can return to the hotel to change or freshen up. We ask that everyone arrive at the reception location no later than 5:30pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Ceremony outside: Yes, parking is available on the beach. Reception: Street parking is available around the restaurant, but since it’s restaurant week in Traverse City, spots may be limited. If possible, we suggest parking at the hotel and walking to the restaurant—it’s just a 6-minute walk or a 2-minute drive.

I have a food allergy, who and by when should I mention something too?

Answer

We feel so fortunate to be partnering with the chefs to create a beautiful menu for our wedding. If you have any food allergies, please let Caitlin or Jeremy know when you RSVP.

Are kids invited?

Answer

This event is for adults only, so make arrangements to leave the kids at home or with a sitter and get ready to party all night long!
