We’re getting married!

Brandy and Jeremy’s love story began in October 2009, when they were introduced through their best friends. At the time, Jeremy was a senior at Northwestern State University and Brandy was a senior at Cecilia High School. Despite the age difference, they immediately connected and formed a genuine friendship. They enjoyed long, easy conversations and quickly discovered a shared sense of humor and perspective on life. Over the years, they stayed in touch, talking on the phone, following each other on social media, and quietly cheering one another on from afar. It was never anything serious, but there was always a spark neither of them could ignore. After Jeremy graduated in December 2010, he moved back home to Rayne and began his career in law enforcement. Between 2010 and 2012, they spent time together and went on dates, though they never put a label on what they had. Eventually, life led them in different directions, and they parted ways on good terms, each following their own path. In the years that followed, both Brandy and Jeremy entered new relationships and became proud parents to beautiful daughters. Even while living separate lives, their paths would occasionally cross, whether through mutual friends or small interactions. Jeremy would sometimes support Brandy’s small business, and they would share quiet smiles, remembering the connection they once had. By June 2021, life brought them back together. Both single, they reconnected through social media. Friendly messages turned into late-night conversations, which turned into phone calls and eventually into dates. Their daughters became part of the mix, joining them for playdates and helping blend their families in a natural, joyful way. As their friendship evolved into romance, they began sharing their bucket lists and traveling together, creating memories that deepened their bond. After their first trip together, they knew they wanted to build a life together, sharing adventures, laughter, and love. In February 2023, Jeremy and Brandy made their shared dreams reality by purchasing their first home together. With the beautiful life they were creating still in motion, Brandy was chasing her career. Throughout Brandy’s nursing school journey, Jeremy supported her every step of the way. He encouraged Brandy with words like, “Rome wasn’t built in a day, everything happens in time,” reminding her to focus on her goals and trust the process. As Brandy reached the finish line, Jeremy had a huge surprise waiting for her. On March 1, 2025, just before heading to New Orleans to celebrate Brandy’s birthday, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was a complete and beautiful surprise, and a moment they will both treasure forever. Their journey has not always been perfect, but every step has led them here, to a love built on patience, faith, friendship, laughter, and growth. There is no one else they would rather do life with, create memories with, and share this beautiful life with than each other.
