We're getting married!

Jeremy had just returned to North Carolina. I had just switched jobs. The Lord was leading us both into new seasons of unfamiliar territory. I had almost given up on the online dating world. However, a large snow storm, a cancelled trip to Ohio to see my best friend Kellie, and an evening where Taylor had made other plans, I was left alone with the falling snow outside. I decided that I would try Facebook dating because I had seen so many ads for it. I matched with lots of people rather quickly and shared a few of them with my brother in law and sister as well as some of my good friends. Both Drew (my brother in law) and Hunter ( my grad school bestie) saw Jeremy's profile and claimed him as the winner. Little did they know.... We were originally supposed to meet for dinner on January 28th but I came down with Covid! Our actual first date was on February 1st, 2022. We met at the Tap Room in Hickory at 6pm and didn't leave until they closed up at 9pm. I knew immediately that there was something special about this man. We had easily conversed for 3 hours, and I would have stayed talking longer. It was a great first date!
