Flight
Columbus, Georgia (CSG) has a regional airport, but routes are limited. Flying direct into Atlanta International Airport (ATL) can often be the easiest route. Columbus is roughly a 1 hour and 30 min drive from Atlanta. *Please note, if you're traveling from the West Coast, you will need to fly in the day before the wedding to account for the distance and time change.
Flight
There are no direct flights into Columbus (CSG). Flying non-stop to ATL, and then making the 1 hour and 30 min drive to Columbus may be preferrable. In either case, Delta is generally going to have the best routes! Again, your two main options are: • Option 1: Fly direct into Atlanta (ATL) and then drive 1.5-hour to Columbus. There are nonstop flights into Atlanta from SNA (on Delta, though they are limited) and LAX (on Delta or American, or Spirt and Frontier also have routes). - From there, rental cars or shuttle services are available for the final leg of the trip. • Option 2: Fly into Columbus (CSG) with a layover. You can fly into Columbus with a short layover in Atlanta. Delta is the only airline that provides commercial service into CSG! - Once you arrive, take a taxi or an Uber to your lodging. TIP: Delta may offer group discounts on flights for groups greater than 10. However, all guests must be on the same flight. Let Juliette know, she can look at organizing a group rate on a direct flight out of SNA to ATL. (Typical prices for American or Delta flights from LAX to ATL is $500+)
Rental Car
Book online with your preferred rental company, or through third parities like Costco. Once you land, the rental car center is a short SkyTrain ride away. - After arriving at the airport, head to the complimentary ATL SkyTrain located near the baggage claim area. (Follow the signs to baggage claim, then rental cars or SkyTrain.) You'll take the "train" to the third and final stop, the Rental Car Center.
Rental Car
• Option 1: Private SUV shuttles run $450 round trip. Mini bus (for 8 or 12 passengers) are also available for ~$650 round trip. Call to book. Call: Courtesy Limousine at (706) 957-2879. Or, Visions Transportation at (706) 317-4723. • Option 2: Groome Transportation is a public shuttle company and is ~$275 round trip for 2 adults. Book in advance online at https://groometransportation.com/columbus/?&sd_client_id=d0441059-3878-4623-9e83-544c6778af37 (For reference, car rentals run roughly $200-$350 for a long weekend)
Travel Note
GETTING AROUND DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS Walking is a great option. The area is known for being pedestrian-friendly, with attractions and dining options within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Ubers are also readily available. (Uber appears to have a larger presence than Lyft in Columbus.) ADDITIONAL LODGING In addition to the Hotel Indigo, Airbnbs may also be a great option. There are also, an AC Hotel Columbus Downtown, GA, or a Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Phenix City/Riverfront.
