FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to Jeremina (Mina), at (860) 491-6931
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can click the RSVP tab above and RSVP at any time. We will include a paper RSVP with the invite if you prefer to mail your RSVP back to us!

Question

What if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If you do not RSVP by (April 22nd), you will be marked as "not attending". We would love to celebrate with you, however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors. (This will mean there will be no seating, food, or drink accommodations for you)

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will definitely be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate "Will Not Attend" on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd "Attending", but find that you will not make it, please notify Jeremina (Mina) as soon as you are aware.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Due to a limited budget and space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invite will be made out to "(Your Name) & Guest" If a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are my kids invited to?

Answer

We love and adore your little ones, however, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family children. This is due to space and cost. We encourage you to use this night as a fun date night! We appreciate you making prior arrangements so you can celebrate with us.

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day. We kindly request that you wear formal attire. Please refrain from wearing jeans, sneakers, and of course no wearing white. We have amazing photographers who are ready to capture you at your best!

Question

Are there colors I should not wear?

Answer

Please avoid colors traditionally reserved for the Bride: White, Ivories, and Creams.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The time for the ceremony will be given on your formal invite and we ask that you arrive and be in your seat NO LATER THAN 15 minutes before the ceremony starts. You may arrive earlier than 15 minutes and it will give you time to park, sign the guest book (located at the entrance), and find a seat. Please, remember the traffic, as you will need to drive through town, which is usually busy during the summer months.

Question

Where should I sit?

Answer

All seating is available to our guests on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we kindly request that the first few rows be reserved for family.

Question

What if I arrive late?

Answer

If you arrive after the ceremony has already started, PLEASE DO NOT WALK DOWN THE AISLE to find a seat. Kindly wait on the side to be directed on where to go. We have worked so hard to get photographers to capture our special day, we do not want you to get in their way. If you are running late and don't get to be seated in the ceremony, don't stress there is still a reception for you to attend!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "Unplugged" ceremony. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do". We ask that you silence your phone and put them away until after the ceremony. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony feel free to take as many photos/videos as you'd like!

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will be in an indoor area located near the ceremony. You will be in good hands and directed where to go!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Our venue is located in Newport Rhode Island. Under the Travel tab we have given a list of recommended hotels for those who wish to stay in town before or after the wedding.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking provided as guests drive into the venue. Each person will be directed where to park and where to go! However, we encourage guests to carpool to the venue whenever possible to help maximize parking space.

Question

Will There Be An Open Bar?

Answer

No, there won't be an open bar. Guests who choose to drink will need to pay for their drinks individually. Please remember to bring your ID if you plan to order a drink. We kindly ask that you drink responsibly so you can fully enjoy our special day with us. If you do decide to drink, please make appropriate arrangements for your safe return home after the wedding.
