Jeremiah and Tanya first met in the summer of 2023 after Tanya moved to Florida to attend a discipleship school. She originally planned to stay for just three months… but after that she continued for another nine months — and she’s still here! During that time, Jeremiah and Tanya attended the same church and quickly became friends. The following year, Tanya offered to help Jeremiah learn Russian, and their friendship began to grow even stronger. They spent months talking, laughing, and getting to know each other more deeply. One special memory happened on November 3rd while they were celebrating their pastor’s birthday. Tanya had planned to talk with Jeremiah because she felt their friendship was becoming a little too close and wanted to share that with him. But Jeremiah had something completely different on his mind. They ended up having a long conversation about everything. By the end of it, Tanya had completely forgotten what she originally planned to say — but Jeremiah hadn’t forgotten his. He told her that he wanted to get to know her better and pursue her. It was a lot to think about, but their relationship soon grew into something very special. On December 1st, they officially started dating. It didn’t take long for them both to realize they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. On October 12th, Jeremiah proposed in the mountains — a moment they will always treasure.
