While we love children, we kindly ask that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us!
We wish we could celebrate with everyone we love! However, our guest list is limited, and we're only able to accommodate the guests named on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate together!
We kindly ask that you RSVP by the date listed on your invitation. We want to make sure that there is a seat (and a cupcake!) available just for you. Your timely response helps us to finalize all the little details and ensure that everyone is comfortably accommodated. Thank you so much for your timely and thoughtful reply!
We are so excited to celebrate with you! Because our venue requires a finalized guest count (and payment) in advance, please only RSVP 'yes' if you are sure that you can make it. Thanks for understanding - and for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
We are asking that guests attend dressed in semi-formal/cocktail attire.
Great question! This wording has stumped us a few times, too. For men: dress pants and a button down shirt (tie and jacket are optional, but may be desired if it is a little chilly at night!). For ladies: dresses, matching sets, and jumpsuits are all gorgeous options. If you would like to dress in-line with our “theme” (though that is completely optional and up to you), any attire that would suit a whimsical, springtime garden party would look superb. While we do wish for guests to look and feel their best, we kindly ask that guests please refrain from wearing shorts, t-shirts, baseball hats, jeans, sneakers, sportswear, and loungewear.
Our ceremony begins at 4:00 pm. As there are limited seats, we ask that guests please plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early to ensure that you can find seats with your party and not miss the ceremony. Guests will ask to be seated at 4:45 pm so that the processional may begin just before 4:00 pm.
Kaitlyn has spent more time this year engaging with animal weather reports than ever before. After consulting the oracles (Punxsutawney Phil, Shubenacadie Sam, Wiarton Willie, Fred La Marmotte, Lucy the Lobster, Van Isle Violet, and Staten Island Chuck), Kaitlyn still doesn’t have a clue what befalls us, and the clairvoyant critters don’t either considering there’s no consensus amongst them. While the weather in New England likes to keep us guessing, the average temps in Thornton on April 24th are in the high 50's to low 60's with a chance of clouds, sunshine, or both (sometimes at once). We recommend cozy layers to ensure that you stay comfortable (and maybe a dance or two for added warmth).
There is a parking lot directly in front of the venue that is available for guests of the venue site and the surrounding businesses. But, if you'd like to make the most of the open bar and skip the hunt for a parking spot, we recommend considering carpooling with other guests or seeking ride sharing options, like Uber or Lyft. Arrive happy, leave even happier! Seeking a taxi service? Please contact either LOOP Taxi (603-254-1155) or The Shuttle Connection (603-745-3140).
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in front of a beautiful view of New Hampshire’s White Mountains (weather dependent, of course). Should it rain, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held inside of the pavilion, where our reception will take place. Our reception will be held inside of the pavilion, rain or shine!
Snap your selfies early - once the ceremony begins, we're going unplugged! We'd love for you to relax, be present, and enjoy every moment (no screens, just smiles).
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place on site at the Owl’s Nest Resort (one stop shopping at its finest!). Following our trip down the aisle, please enjoy music, drinks, and light hors d’oeuvres for a 1 hour outdoor cocktail hour. Our reception will take place inside the pavilion directly after the cocktail hour where guests may enjoy an evening of dinner, speeches, dances, laughs, and memories.
Our celebration will kick off with a variety of passed appetizers and a totchos bar (tater tots + nachos = magic). After that, enjoy a plated dinner featuring the entree you selected on your RSVP, and save room for dessert - we'll have cupcakes in several irresistible flavors! Want something more savory? We will have several late night pizza options available as well. For those who are on site early or those seeking food while in the area, our venue also offers several dining options on site. These include: Butch's Brooklyn Deli, Pemi Burger Bar, Panorama Six82, and Slice Pizzeria and Sports Bar.
Please select among the following plated meal options: 1. Slow Roasted Sliced Sirloin of Beef Prepared Rare/Medium-Rare (cannot request specific meat temperature per guest, all beef is prepared the same) · Sweet Garlic Mashed Potatoes · Asparagus · Sautéed Onions · Cabernet Demi Glaze 2. Sun-Dried Tomato, Artichoke & Basil Stuffed Chicken Breast · Golden Whipped Mashed Potatoes · Baby Vegetables · Balsamic Reduction 3. Vegan Eggplant Rollatini: Roasted Eggplant · Basil Rice · Tomato Chutney · Balsamic Glaze
If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know when you rsvp and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Our fully stocked open bar kicks off at cocktail hour, pauses politely during speeches and dances, and then returns to keep the celebration going through dinner and dancing. If our pre-set bar limit is reached, it will switch to a cash bar toward the end of the night. Cheers!
For those who want to stay close, we have reserved hotel blocks at the Hampton Inn (Lincoln) and Fairfield Inn by Marriott (Plymouth). Information for these hotel blocks may be found on our website by clicking the "Lodging & Travel" headline. Other nearby hotels are available as well, though without reserved blocks, so feel free to explore and find the spot that works best for you!
Yes! We WILL be starting the celebration early! Following our rehearsal, we're hosting a laid-back welcome party at one of our gambrel houses on 4/23 for any guests who wish to stop by from 7:00-9:30 pm. Pizza will be served, BYOB is encouraged, and good times are guaranteed. Nothing fancy, just fun. The gambrel homes for our party are #26 & #30 and they are located off of clubhouse lane.
Your love and support are the greatest gifts of all. While gifts are not required, for those who wish to give, we've included a small registry on our wedding website which has gift items from Zola as well as links to our Amazon and Crate & Barrel registries. Our greatest wish, however, is to put down roots - so contributions toward our first home fund would mean the world to us.
