FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jeremy Lyon and Caitlin Gowdey
Hi! Caitlin here. This is where I will try to answer all the questions we've been getting. Readyyy go
Question

I'm camping! Where should I park?

Answer

IF YOU ARE SET UP CREW AND YOU ARE CAMPING: You will most likely be parking in the LOWER area down behind the cabin. You will be blocked in. If this is not okay, let us know. IF YOU ARE A GUEST AND YOU ARE CAMPING: You will be entering the property through the UPPER gate and parking in the field behind the yellow house. There will be signs to lead you to the correct gate. When you arrive you will be directed by volunteers to the best place for your vehicle. Please don't park yourself. We will care for you like a dove.

Question

I'm camping! Where should I set up my tent?

Answer

There will be two camping zones to choose from when you arrive - UPPER and LOWER. The parking attendant will let you know where these zones are and you can choose whichever. If you are setting up your tent right when you arrive (before the ceremony), please camp only in these areas, NOT in the far field. After the ceremony, the far field is up for grabs and you can camp wherever you want. Go hog wild. No fires tho.

Question

Can I car camp?

Answer

Yes! You are welcome to sleep in your car - however - keep in mind that you do not get a bunch of extra space around your car because you are camping in it. We're trying to fit everyone into this backyard, so you're welcome to sleep in there but it will still be parked with other cars. We are going to try to keep car camping cars in the same area.

Question

What is my "Halloween finery" and do I need to change into it?

Answer

Jeremy proposed to me on Halloween night, so as an homage to that we invite you to change/alter your outfit to be less formal wedding and more fabulous party for the second half of the night. This could be literally anything you want it to be. Could be something small like putting on a bold lipstick or wig, or you could completely change clothes. Doesn't have to be spooky or scary, it just has to be fun and make you feel good. For example, my mom is wearing a mardi gras mask and my dad is wearing a cape. By all means, you are welcome to go full out Carrie covered in pigs blood at the prom if you want, but if you don't want to change anything that's also totally fine. It's up to you. :)

Question

What's the deal with the shuttle?

Answer

Our friend Eric has been generous enough to offer to do a couple shuttling shifts if anyone wants that! It's basically for those who maybe carpooled and want to leave later than the car that they came in. Or maybe you drove here and don't want to drive home but could get a ride back to your car from someone in the morning. We realize a one-way shuttle home doesn't work as well as a two-way shuttling service - but this is what we got. ;) If you are staying in the area and are looking to get a shuttle ride back to where you're staying, please let us know ASAP. As of now, the shuttle will depart at 11 PM and again at 2 AM. When you're looking for it, the shuttle is the Rainbow Girls band van, she is a big green Ford Club Wagon. It will depart from the gate in front of the yellow house. The towns it could potentially stop in are as follows: Valley Ford Bodega Bay Bodega Occidental Sebastopol Again, please let us know if you're interested in this service so we can plan accordingly. :)

Question

Can I Bring A Plus One?

Answer

No. Sorry I love you but if we haven't already talked about this with you, no. We have reached capacity with the amount of food and seating we have available. The only exception to this is if your plus one can play the trumpet... really well. Like really well and wants to sit in. ;(

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

It depends, is your dog an idiot? Just kidding. Not really. If your dog is sweet around kids/other dogs and won't run off into the road, your dog is welcome. Be aware there is poison oak around the edges of the property, so if they have a tendency to run off into bushes and roll around in poison oak, keep an eye on 'em.

Question

What's For Dinner?

Answer

Dinner is being provided by local restaurant Fork. It will be food truck style, with tacos and salad bar. There are vegan and gluten free options. Menu: Korean Short Rib Citrus Pulled Pork Shoulder Tomatillo Braised Chicken Local Braised Mushrooms Smashed Pinto Beans Spanish Rice Salad Bar

Question

Is it An Open Bar?

Answer

Yes, we will have many different libations! There will be non-alcoholic drinks, bottled beer, kegs, wine, champagne, and lots of mixers and cocktail options. Jeremy and I are crafting our batched cocktails (the Cherry Bomb and the White Falcon) as I write this. We will supply everyone until supplies last. If you are planning on staying into late night and drinking, please consider being a mensch and bringing a bottle to add to the bar.
