Wedding Party

Lindsay

Maid of Honor

Lindsay and Kayla’s friendship started when we were 2 years old! Our mothers would dress us up to play Miss America (see photos!), which we loved getting all dolled up. We spent countless hours playing on Lindsay’s farm with the horses and kittens, playing volleyball together, and even marching band! Our adult lives took us to different parts of the country for a few years but as fate would have it, in 2020 Lindsay and her family moved less than 1 mile away from my new house in Blaine. It has been such a joy watching our children play and grow together over the last few years and the memories we have made together.

Rachel

Bridesmaid

Rachel and Kayla met freshman year at St. Thomas. They were both early into their science degrees and one day during lab, Rachel came up to me and after 5 mins of causal conversation, she goes “ok that’s it. We are going to be friends” and then sat down next to me. Honestly, I had thought “ok? I haven’t made a friend so abruptly since kindergarten, but I guess we’ll give it a try”. And man am I glad I did. Rachel is one of the most passionate, loving, caring humans you will ever meet. She goes above and beyond for those in her life, with an incredible vibrance about her and she is a literal Rae of sunshine (see what I did there lol). Rae and I have traveled together many times over the years, both locally on paddle board/ kayaking / hiking trips and to multiple countries for snorkeling, cliff jumping, and zip line adventures. I look forward to seeing what other adventures life has in store for us 🖤

Kara

Bridesmaid

Kara and Kayla knew each other for years through figure skating but it took marching band: specifically color guard, and everyone insisting “you guys would be great friends!” for us to begin talking. We were both quiet and book smart, but once we realized how similar we were, our friendship flourished. Countless days were spent riding around in Kara’s minivan, talking about boys, going on shopping trips to Duluth, hockey games, plotting runs past certain boys houses in the hopes of getting a glimpse, you know- normal high school stuff. Nowadays, we are both working moms, and the conversations have changed quite a lot, but regardless of how much time has passed since our last visit, we are always able to pickup exactly where we left off. It’s been an incredible blessing to watch our kids grow and play together over the last few years, which is something I will never take for granted.

Alana

Bridesmaid

Alana and Kayla met way back in kindergarten at Forest Lake Elementary; neither of us remember it but Alana’s mom always reminds us now how I was the little girl with the pretty braided hair from Alana’s class (thanks mom!). We both were in figure skating, band, color guard, even our first jobs together at KFC! Between 15-18 years old, we were almost always together. The bonfires at your parents house up 38 (with the non-existent cell phone reception) and all the times we had swimming/ tanning at the Tioga Pit are some of my fondest summertime memories. Thank you for being there for me through all of the boy crazy days, I am happy to say we both found ourselves some good keepers 🥰.

Eryn

Bridesmaid

Kayla and Eryn were randomly assigned as roommates freshman year at St. Thomas in the great Grace Hall on south campus. Many nights were spent eating instant Mac n cheese and copious amounts of ice cream in our dorm, usually while watching Scrubs. I will always remember Eryn falling out of her lofted bunk (this happened a few times, always followed up with a quick “I’m ok!”) and our silly dance parties to lil Wayne, lady Gaga, and Chris Brown. Ps I am so thankful phone cameras didn’t truly exist yet to document all of our times, just Eryn’s digital camera 😂. Our random dorm assignment way back in 2008 has lead to over a decade of close friendship, and still to this day we tease about our college nights at Plums, how convenient it was that we are both the same size and could borrow one another’s clothes (we both had shorter sisters and this was a first for both of us!) and the nights spent laughing and dancing with our friends 🖤.

Kelly

Bridesmaid

As most adults do, Kelly and I met through work! I was living in San Diego working in the clinical support department for Precision Diagnostics. Kelly was the intake coordinator for a substance use disorder program in Minneapolis and we would chat often over the phone for work related matters. When I relocated back to MN for my account manager role in 2017, Kelly was one of the first people I got to meet in person and an instant friendship grew. She is so loving, caring, supportive, a fantastic listener, great dancer (referencing that ONE particular night at the Flame) and always willing to help those around with her illuminating positivity. Since our friendship began, I have gotten to see her grow in many different ways, both professionally and the proud title of Mom to two amazing littles.
