Our Story

Graham and Rachel first met on a crisp fall day. Rachel was walking downtown, sipping on an afternoon latte, when all of a sudden the blue skies turned gray and it began to downpour. Rachel rushed to duck into the nearest open door and found herself bursting into a rowdy sports bar. It was peak football season, and Graham was enjoying a beer with some buddies when he turned and locked eyes with Rachel. In that moment, they both knew… At least that’s how we joke our story began. We actually met on Hinge! Our first date took place at a local brewery, where Rachel learned that punctuality was not Graham’s strong suit (he was late), and Graham learned just how indecisive Rachel can be as he watched her struggle to select a beer. After the usual game of 20 Questions that any good first date consists of, we ended up staying late playing Uno and the rest is history. The last few years have truly been an adventure! We love being outdoors, going for walks, camping, paddle boarding, grabbing coffee, ice cream or patio drinks, watching rom-coms, playing volleyball with friends, cooking together, making homemade pasta, trying new things like salsa dancing lessons, and traveling whenever we get the chance. One of our favorite adventures came less than a year into dating when we headed west for a road trip through New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. We visited Nicole, experienced our first Balloon Fiesta, explored landmarks like Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, hiked through Bryce Canyon and Zion, and even scored spontaneous tickets to see Carrie Underwood during our eight-hour stop in Las Vegas! Rachel still remembers Graham very clearly announcing on the flight out that he would not be proposing on that trip. Turns out, it wasn’t a cover-up. Graham proposed on a long weekend ski trip up north. Rachel was suspicious the moment Graham started telling her the schedule for their first day because she’s usually the planner in the relationship. While Rachel was getting ready for dinner, Graham was busy transforming the living room of their Airbnb with candles and flower petals. Then he turned on some music and pulled her into the room for a dance. It was the longest dance of Rachel’s life before Graham finally got down on one knee and popped the question. The best part was having the rest of the weekend to soak it all in and enjoy those first moments of being engaged, just the two of us! Now we’re counting down the days until we get to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you. Thank you for being part of it. We can’t wait to dance, drink, and celebrate with all of our favorite people!
