We’re getting married!

Our story, funny enough starts in two different countries. Jai was born in Scotland and didn't move here till he was 6 years old. I was born in Houston, Texas.. here in the great United States! At the time my biological family was unable to take care of me, so I was adopted by my amazing parents at two months old. Just looking back at how our individual stories started, I know God had his hand on our lives from the very beginning. I don't think I would have ever had the privilege of meeting my future husband had he not been guiding us through. We officially met when we were both in college! Not your typical college meeting though, we actually met at work! We both worked at the YMCA at the time. I worked at the front desk and Jai worked in childcare with all the kiddos! I definitely had a crush on him at the very beginning , but in 2016 dating was not really something either of us were ready for. Instead, we became friends, then best friends and we finally started dating in 2018. It was so effortless from the beginning. I knew that he was who I was supposed to be with. We fit together so well. He builds me up on the days I'm low and makes me smile and laugh every single day. I'm not sure I could have asked for better. The obstacles we have faced so far have been nothing we could have prepared for. Jai went to the DPS State Trooper Academy for 6 months beginning in Jan of 2020. With little to no contact for the first few months, we faced some challenges we could have never expected. What we found was that as long as we supported each other in everything we would be ok. We came out of that experience stronger than ever. We also came out of that experience engaged! We are so excited to start our lives together and we know that God has big plans for us. We cannot wait to celebrate with family and friends on our big day!
