We met at youth group the summer before my freshman year and Ryder’s sophomore year of high school. That summer, the youth group took a trip to Six Flags, and I ended up spending the whole day with him. I got “scared” on the roller coasters and grabbed his hand, and after that we pretty much never stopped hanging out. We officially started dating in August 2021 and have been together through basically every major stage of growing up since then. We supported each other throughout high school and after graduation too. Ryder supported me through cheer and now starting nursing school this fall, and I’ve supported him through becoming a firefighter since he started in 2024. In April 2026, Ryder proposed at The Willows, and I was genuinely shocked, which almost never happens. Ironically, The Willows was also where we had our first prom together years before. It felt really full circle getting engaged there knowing it’ll also be where we get married. We’re so excited for this next chapter and so thankful to celebrate it with all of the people we love.
