Additional Ceremony Details
Answer
The Ceremony will be held on the campus of USD at the main church, The Immaculata. There is another smaller church called Founders on campus as well, so please look for the larger main church, The Immaculata. It can be slightly confusing to find, so we recommend for those guests staying at hotels the night before to please allow at least a 30 min drive to the church from your hotel. For those guests joining us that day, please remember that traffic to San Diego on a Saturday afternoon can make the drive from Orange County over three hours. We recommend staying in San Diego the night before, or leaving early in the morning on Saturday to avoid missing the ceremony as it will start promptly at 2:00 pm.

Reception start time?

The reception is located at Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla, which is about a twenty five minute drive from the church. All hotels that we have included on our website are a five minute drive to the reception, some of which you can even walk if you please! The Ceremony will end around 3:00 pm with Reception not starting until 5:00 pm. We recommend that guests go back to their hotel, check-in if you haven’t, or check out the La Jolla Main Street in between. The reception will not be open to guests until 5:00 pm as pictures and setup will still be going on.

Parking?
Answer
Scripps Seaside Forum is a beachfront location so parking is extremely minimal beach parking!! We highly recommend heading back to your hotel after the ceremony and taking an Uber over. As mentioned before, it’s only a five minute drive from the hotels we have listed. You will have plenty of time in between the ceremony and reception to head back and freshen up before we get this party started. We will have an open bar for our guests and would want nothing more then to see everyone be as safe as possible! If your drinking at all, please just Uber!!
