Jensine's Love Story

It all started with questions. I messaged this handsome guy on Match.com and after several days, I didn't hear a response. Then at 7am, I got a notification of a response. Who is up at 7am sending messages?! Well, he explained that he was working third shift and was asleep during the day. We started chatting and I quickly informed him that my free trial period was ending and I asked if he wanted to exchange numbers. We went out on our first date shortly afterwards and it was amazing. He was the perfect gentleman and even tried a new food at dinner. The more we got to know each other, the more questions I had. Who is this guy? Why is he still single? Where is his secret family? As the days grew into weeks and the weeks grew into months, I knew this was different. We started making plans for the future, without questions. We started planning trips and talking about making big purchases together. When I got accepted in fellowship, he was my biggest supporter. He doesn't always say alot, but he answers my questions with his actions. When he asked me would I marry him, I said "Absolutely, yes!". No questions asked.

Evan's Love Story

I had been single for a few years before deciding to "put myself back out there". I decided to try match.com and had been on the site for a few weeks before getting a message from Jensiné. Nothing too fast to start just casual conversation, as with everything else in our relationship it has be been a well thought out but yet beautiful progression. We eventually exchanged numbers and had our first date at T.G.I Friday's. While the conversation and just her overall presence were great, the two things that stood out and I remember the clearest were her beauty and commitment to work, as she had to take a call within 5 minutes of us meeting. Neither of which has changed to this day and they are two of the many things I've come to know and love about her. She is a caring, giving, compassionate, strong minded, focused woman and she loves hard. We have had countless experiences since our first date, been so many places, tried so many new things, met so many people and learned so many new things not only about each other but in general simply as a result of us combining our lives. I knew I loved her only a few months after we began dating, I don't think she was quite ready to say the same but I was determined to win her over and I did! A few years into our relationship we were faced with by far our biggest challenge when Jensiné was accepted to do a two year fellowship 1,500 miles away in Houston,TX. Although we were excited for her to have such a great opportunity, we cried together, we prayed together and in the end decided that we were committed to each other and building the family that we had always talked about together. I knew I already wanted to marry her but it was at that point that I knew it was time to make my move. I was not going to let the woman I loved move away without showing her exactly how committed to her I was.
