Nick and I first met in a less than ideal scenario. He lived in California, and I lived in TN. He was visiting his brother and sister in law (shoutout Brandon and Ally), and we met briefly while he was in town. After a few months had gone by after that, he reached out to me online. After many jokes of trying to convince him to move out here, he finally called me one day and said he was moving out to TN to be closer to his Brother. As soon as he moved out here, we spent basically every day together. He took me on our first date and *still complains* about me eating his ice cream. We danced in my living room for what seemed like hours. It was not long after that, we met each others families, declared our very obvious love for each other, and decided that we were gonna have all of the big conversations about our future. Within two weeks of officially dating, he spent his Christmas flying to Montana to meet the rest of my family. Anyone who knows this story, knows that was "it" for me. That was my "when you know, you know" moment. We had been together for about 1.5 years when he proposed to me, in Montana, with my family surrounding us.
