Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend an Airbnb in New Plymouth or surrounding areas—there are some really cute ones in town, especially near the beach -- Fitzroy, Bell Block, East End are all great spots. We’ll also share hotel suggestions closer to the date.

What time does the wedding start?

Answer

Please arrive by 2pm, ceremony will start at 2:30 sharp.

What’s the weather like in November?

Answer

It’s very unpredictable! It could be a crisp sunny 20°C (about 68°F) or it could be wet and cold. Either way, we’ll have a marquee or the barn ready!

What’s the dress code?

Anything you want! But think garden vibes—cocktail attire. It’s in a garden, on a farm.

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Wear whatever shoes you’re comfortable in—but it’s on grass, so if you wear stilettos, you’ll probably be aerating the lawn more than walking!

Can I bring kids?

Answer

While we absolutely love your children, we don't want the wedding to be overrun by them. What we ask is, if your local, can you leave them at home. And if your traveling for the wedding, feel free to bring them. Invitations are specific and will list any children invited. Please check your invitation and reach out if you have any questions. We do plan on hiring one or two babysitters, with an area for them to play, do crafts, and whatnot—so feel free to let loose on the dance floor! Just please RSVP them if you plan to bring them. Bring them to the BBQ on Sunday though!

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

You can Uber, taxi, or drive. Plenty of parking. If enough people are in one area, we’ll try to organize a shuttle. If you drive and drink, or just love to sleep under the stars, you can camp overnight in the paddock -- just bring a tent!

Is there something going on the next day?

On Sunday we’ll have everyone out to our little farm in Ōpunake for a barbecue & river float. More details to come.

Any recommendations if I'm traveling from NZ?

We recommend staying at least 10 days in the country to explore. We’re happy to help with ideas or itineraries!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Were hoping for a general headcount sooner rather than later! Even a “maybe” via text is fine. If you are a 100% yes or hard no, please let us know now. Officially, September 30 is great.
